OPINION: Let's hope cost is no reason to hold back on laws against felons with guns

Senate Majority Leader Mark Norris (R-Collierville) introduced SB 1241 last week, which is legislation that would increase the penalties for violent felons who possess a firearm.

The District Attorneys General Conference, the Memphis Shelby Crime Commission and the City of Memphis, including Shelby County DA Amy Weirich, support this bill.
