As if parenting weren’t hard enough for couples that battle infertility, the Tennessee Legislature is now proposing a law that would change the legality of any child born to a married couple that conceives a child through artificial insemination.
The law (HB 1406) would change to declare illegitimate any child conceived through artificial insemination. That means the couple would then have go through the lengthy, time-consuming process of adopting their own child.
