Friday, March 10
Crimes 
An acquaintance continues to contact the victim after being told not to in the 1700 block of River Park Cove at 8:53 a.m.
An adult was arrested for possessing an altered tag at Poplar Avenue and Poplar Woods Circle East at 9:17 a.m.
Three adults were arrested for possessing marijuana and two pistols, during a traffic stop at 1340 South Germantown Road at 11 p.m.
Crashes
Two vehicles collided causing possible injuries at South Germantown Road and Wolf River Boulevard at 2:30 p.m.

Crimes
None reported.

Two vehicles collided causing possible injuries at McVay Road and Howard Road at 8:42 p.m.

Sunday, March 12
Crimes
An adult was arrested for possessing marijuana during a traffic stop at McHenry Circle East and McHenry Circle North at 12:26 a.m.
A boyfriend and girlfriend were involved in an argument at Bixby Place North and South Germantown Road at 4:04 p.m.

None reported.

Monday, March 13
Crimes
Several suspects left without paying for the food they received at 1249 South Germantown Road at 1:28 p.m.
A female suspect took an employee’s wallet at 7781 Farmington Boulevard at 3:02 p.m.
A wooden fence was damaged in the 6500 block of Poplar Woods Circle South at 5:18 p.m.
A victim's son took his vehicle without permission in the 2500 block of Cedarville Drive at 9:29 p.m.
A suspect was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his wife in the 2500 block of Cedarville Drive at 10:18 p.m.

Tuesday, March 14
Crimes
Two females took an employee’s wallet at 2115 Merchants Row at 9:11 a.m.
Officers arrested adult male after he assaulted his girlfriend at Poplar Avenue and Miller Farms Road at 4:28 p.m.
An acquaintance took a pistol and cell phone from a home in the 3000 block of Oakleigh Manor Cove at 4:55 p.m.
Crashes
A vehicle collided with a parked car at7945 Wolf River Boulevard at 8:35 a.m.
Two vehicles collided at 7700 Poplar Avenue at 12:12 p.m.
A vehicle collided into a utility pole at Johnson Road and L’Anguille Lane at 3:35 p.m.

Wednesday, March 16
Crimes
A door lock appears to be damaged on a home in the 2600 block of Overlook Drive at 12:45 p.m.
A stolen credit card number from the 1700 block of Groveway Drive was used for a fraudulent purchase online at 7:20 p.m.
Crashes
Two vehicles collided at Poplar Avenue and Poplar Estates Parkway at 4:35 p.m.
Two vehicles collided at Poplar Avenue and Johnson Road at 8:45 p.m.

Thursday, March 16
Crimes
A victim received a threatening telephone call from an unknown subject at 8000 Wolf River Boulevard at 2:45 p.m.

Bill Haslam, Tennessee Education Commissioner Candice McQueen and Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services Commissioner Marie Williams urged adults and schools to stay vigilant of children’s mental health.  While May is National Mental Health Awareness Month, May 4 is specifically set aside as National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day. OPINION: For Sunshine Laws to work, BMA should vote to record all sessions

During last week’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting, I was glad to see the vote was unanimous in favor of taking up a discussion at the May 8 meeting to vote on recording BMA executive sessions.  As one person pointed out during the public comments portion of the meeting, it is hard to hear what’s being discussed at the executive sessions because not everyone has an individual microphone, and there’s no way for the public to review what was said. Although I understand why Alderman Owens said he supported recording the sessions, but hesitated to pile more work on the city clerk in terms of producing more minutes, I do think the city should, at some point, keep minutes from the sessions. Past presidents of Suburban Garden Club prepare Club for upcoming flower show

“Horse and Garden” The Flora and Fauna of Germantown, Tennessee The Suburban Garden Club held its March meeting at the Memphis Botanic Garden to accommodate the large number of designs and arrangements that were used as correct examples for the club’s flower show on Wednesday, April 26, 2017.   The show will be held at the Germantown Country Club from one to four in the afternoon.   It is free and open to the public.   Barbara Armstrong, Nancy Klepper and Lucy Wilkinson created and provided the designs for the flower show demonstrations entitled “Alignment, Cadence, and Conformation.” Suburban members appreciated the clever terminology for the class as being perfect for an equestrian-themed flower show. They instructed the members on the major Divisions of Design beginning with floor arrangements that must be at least five feet tall to hanging miniature designs that cannot be more than five inches high.   All designs must represent a designated equestrian theme such as:
