Friday, March 3
Crimes 
Equipment was reported stolen from a business at 7945 Wolf River Boulevard at 10:32 a.m.
Crashes
Two vehicles collided causing possible injuries at South Germantown Road and Wolf River Boulevard at 1:23 p.m.
Two vehicles collided at Wolf River Boulevard and West Brierbrook Road at 1:33 p.m.
Three vehicles collided causing possible injuries at Poplar Avenue and Poplar Woods Circle West at 6:15 p.m.

Saturday, March 4
Crimes
Golf clubs, a wallet and an iPod were stolen from three unlocked vehicles and a garage in the 3000 block of Steeplegate Drive at 1:50 p.m.
Crashes
Two vehicles collided causing possible injuries at South Germantown Road and Wolf Trail Cove at 1:30 p.m.

Monday, March 6

An adult was arrested during a traffic stop for displaying an altered drive out tag at Village Shops Drive and Forest Hill Irene Road at 9:50 a.m.
An employee reportedly took money from a business at 3179 Professional Plaza at 2:25 p.m.
An adult was arrested during a traffic stop for displaying an altered drive out tag at Crestridge Road and Grand Fields at 7:20 p.m.

Two vehicles collided causing possible injuries at South Germantown Road and Brierbrook Road at 4:59 p.m.
Two vehicles collided at Kirby Parkway and an entrance to Carrefour shopping center at 6:05 p.m.

Tuesday, March 7

A victim was reportedly struck by a co-worker during an argument at 7615 West Farmington  Boulevard at 9:26 a.m.
A victim is receiving harassing text messages from an acquaintance at 7622 Poplar Pike at 10:12 a.m.

A vehicle ran into a ditch at Forest Hill Irene Road and Farmoor Road at 6 a.m.
Two vehicles collided at Wolf River Boulevard and Oakville Drive at 7 a.m.
Two vehicles collided at Gotten Way and Johnson Road at 9 a.m.
Two vehicles collided at South Germantown Road and Wolf River Boulevard at 10:55 a.m.
A vehicle struck  a curb and a tree at Grey Cliff Drive and Forest Hill Irene Road at 1:25 p.m.

Wednesday, March 8

A CD was taken from a vehicle in the 7000 block ofVineyard Way at 12:55 p.m.

Two vehicles collided at Wolf River Boulevard and South Germantown Road at 11:53 a.m.

Thursday March 9
Crimes
An adult was arrested during a traffic stop for unlawful possession of a firearm at Poplar Avenue and New Riverdale Road at 1:10 a.m.
An  adult was arrested for forcing entry and causing damage to a vacant business at 7720 Poplar Avenue at 1:53 p.m.
Prescription medication was taken from a residence in the 7700 block of Hunters Run at 6:26 p.m.
An adult was arrested during a traffic stop for unlawful possession of diazepam at Poplar Avenue and Village Shops Drive at 10:13 p.m.
Crashes
Two vehicles collided at Wolf River Boulevard and South Germantown Road at 3:59 p.m.
A tree fell on a vehicle at Forest Hill Irene Road and Fernbrook Road at 11:56 p.m.

Bill Haslam, Tennessee Education Commissioner Candice McQueen and Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services Commissioner Marie Williams urged adults and schools to stay vigilant of children’s mental health.  While May is National Mental Health Awareness Month, May 4 is specifically set aside as National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day. OPINION: For Sunshine Laws to work, BMA should vote to record all sessions

During last week’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting, I was glad to see the vote was unanimous in favor of taking up a discussion at the May 8 meeting to vote on recording BMA executive sessions.  As one person pointed out during the public comments portion of the meeting, it is hard to hear what’s being discussed at the executive sessions because not everyone has an individual microphone, and there’s no way for the public to review what was said. Although I understand why Alderman Owens said he supported recording the sessions, but hesitated to pile more work on the city clerk in terms of producing more minutes, I do think the city should, at some point, keep minutes from the sessions. Past presidents of Suburban Garden Club prepare Club for upcoming flower show

“Horse and Garden” The Flora and Fauna of Germantown, Tennessee The Suburban Garden Club held its March meeting at the Memphis Botanic Garden to accommodate the large number of designs and arrangements that were used as correct examples for the club’s flower show on Wednesday, April 26, 2017.   The show will be held at the Germantown Country Club from one to four in the afternoon.   It is free and open to the public.   Barbara Armstrong, Nancy Klepper and Lucy Wilkinson created and provided the designs for the flower show demonstrations entitled “Alignment, Cadence, and Conformation.” Suburban members appreciated the clever terminology for the class as being perfect for an equestrian-themed flower show. They instructed the members on the major Divisions of Design beginning with floor arrangements that must be at least five feet tall to hanging miniature designs that cannot be more than five inches high.   All designs must represent a designated equestrian theme such as:
