Friday, May 5
Crimes 
An adult was arrested after providing a false identity during a traffic stop at Cross Village Drive and Belgrave Drive at 9:35 a.m.
A juvenile was arrested for striking an acquaintance at 9755 Wolf River Boulevard at 12:20 p.m.
An attempted online scam to send money was reported in the 1700 block of Fiddlers Elbow at 2 p.m.
Money was withdrawn from 7708 Poplar Avenue after passing several worthless checks at the bank at 4:37 p.m.
A wheel boot was reportedly damaged after being placed on a vehicle by the business at 7820 Walking Horse Circle at 4:50 p.m.

Two vehicles collided at South Germantown Road and Poplar Avenue at 11:28 a.m.
Two vehicles collided at Farmington Boulevard at South Germantown Road at 1:54 p.m.
Two vehicles collided at West Houston Way and Garden Place at 3:03 p.m.
Two vehicles collided at Wolf River Boulevard and Dogwood Grove Road at 4:13 p.m.

An adult was arrested for assaulting his father-in-law during an argument in the 6500 block of Poplar Woods Circle South at 11:24 p.m.

A vehicle collided into a concrete light pole causing possible injuries at Hacks Cross Road and Effingham Drive at 2:20 p.m.
A vehicle collided into a curb at Forest Hill Irene Road and Crestwyn Hills Drive at 3:15 p.m.
Two vehicles collided at Poplar Avenue and West Farmington Boulevard at 3:49 p.m.

Monday, May 8
Crimes
A victim was allegedly struck by an acquaintance at 7691 Poplar Avenue at 5:20 a.m.
A purse was reported taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 8500 block of Deerfield Lane at 7:26 a.m.
A victim sent money in an online scam. The complaint originated from the 8200 block of San Augustine Lane at 9:30 a.m.
A juvenile was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop at Miller Farms Road and Pyron Oaks Cove at 4:15 p.m.
A handgun magazine was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 1900 block of Eversholt Lane at 4:41 p.m.
Personal information was used to fraudulently withdraw money from a bank account at 7808 Farmington Boulevard at 7:16 p.m.

Two vehicles collided causing possible injuries at South Germantown Road and Neshoba Road at 8:09 a.m.
Two vehicles collided at West Street and South Germantown Road at 10:31 a.m.

Tuesday, May 9
Crimes
A suspect took merchandise from a salon at 7622 Poplar Avenue at 11:34 a.m.
Personal information was used to make a fraudulent transaction online at 12:40 p.m. The complaint originated from the 8000 block of Breezy Creek Road.
A victim is receiving harassing text messages from an acquaintance in the 2200 block of Lancashire Cove at 2:25 p.m.
A license plate was taken from a vehicle in the 1600 block of Exeter Road at 4:57 p.m.
An adult was arrested for providing a false identity during a traffic stop at Poplar Avenue and Miller Farms Road at 7:36 p.m.

Two vehicles collided at Poplar Pike and South Germantown Road at 2:40 p.m.

Cash and a checkbook were taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 9000 block of Winston Wood at 11:25 a.m.
A debit card account was used to make a fraudulent transaction at 1351 South Germantown Road at 12:50 p.m.
A credit card account was used to make fraudulent transactions online at 2:16 p.m. The complaint originated from the 2500 block of Regents Walk.
Entry was made to a residence, but nothing was taken in the 2300 block of Calkins Road at 3:15 p.m.

EARLY VOTING HOURS CHANGE FOR 95th SPECIAL ELECTION PRIMARY

April 17, 2017 (Memphis, Tenn.) Today the times that Early Voting locations in the Special Election Primary are open for the House District 95 th House of Representatives seat will change. The two locations, one in Germantown at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and the other in Collierville at the Collierville Church of Christ, will be open from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tennessee law requires early voting to take place for a minimum of three hours with some evening hours. In the first week of early voting the polls were open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. “We wanted a variety of hours so that people could vote regardless of their work schedule.” said Linda Phillips, administrator of elections for the Shelby County Election Commission (SCEC). This election affects a relatively small group of voters, (51,412 of whom 46,597 are active), so SCEC officials decided to open the two early voting precincts in the 95 th district for fewer hours than would be used in a county-wide election.   ...

Past presidents of Suburban Garden Club prepare Club for upcoming flower show

“Horse and Garden” The Flora and Fauna of Germantown, Tennessee The Suburban Garden Club held its March meeting at the Memphis Botanic Garden to accommodate the large number of designs and arrangements that were used as correct examples for the club’s flower show on Wednesday, April 26, 2017.   The show will be held at the Germantown Country Club from one to four in the afternoon.   It is free and open to the public.   Barbara Armstrong, Nancy Klepper and Lucy Wilkinson created and provided the designs for the flower show demonstrations entitled “Alignment, Cadence, and Conformation.” Suburban members appreciated the clever terminology for the class as being perfect for an equestrian-themed flower show. They instructed the members on the major Divisions of Design beginning with floor arrangements that must be at least five feet tall to hanging miniature designs that cannot be more than five inches high.   All designs must represent a designated equest...
