Friday, April 21
Crimes 
Entry was made into a business at 1352 Cordova Road, but nothing reported stolen at 12:05 a.m.
Merchandise was taken from a business at 7615 West Farmington Boulevard at 12:28 p.m.
Electronics and firearms were taken from a residence in the 1900 block of Eversholt Lane at 2:43 p.m.
An adult was arrested after he and a second suspect displayed a handgun and took jewelry from a victim in the parking lot during a prearranged meeting to buy the jewelry at 7615 West Farmington Boulevard at 6:50 p.m.
Crashes
A vehicle struck a bicyclist causing possible injuries at Neshoba Road and Miller Farms Road at 7:55 a.m.
Two vehicles collided at Neshoba Road and South Germantown Road at 5 p.m.

Saturday, April 22
Crimes
A debit card was taken by an acquaintance and used to make withdrawals in another jurisdiction from the 1700 block of Cordova Road at 3:36 p.m.
A business at 7616 Poplar Avenue accepted a counterfeit bill in payment for merchandise at 7:13 p.m.
A window to a business at 1357 South Germantown Road was shattered by unknown means at 10:35 p.m.

Stolen debit card account information was used to make a fraudulent transaction in another jurisdiction at 9:30 a.m. The complaint originated from the 2400 block of Oak Trail.
A license plate was reportedly taken from a carport in the 7900 block of Cedar Lake at 11 a.m.
Damage to a coin operated air compressor 9113 Winchester Road at 4:12 p.m. was reported.
A victim provided money to suspects in a scam at 3150 Village Shops Drive at 5:44 p.m.

A laptop was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 2200 block of Lancashire Cove at 3:33 p.m.
A package was missing from a residence in the 8500 block of Windy Oaks Drive at 4:20 p.m.
A nylon bag containing cash and checks was taken from an unlocked vehicle at 7691 Poplar Avenue at 5:40 p.m.

Officers arrested an adult for displaying an altered drive-out tag during a traffic stop at Wolf River Boulevard and Mont Blanc at 2:53 a.m.
A victim sent money in a scam via telephone at 7820 Poplar Avenue at 1:44 p.m.
A suspect submitted two fraudulent prescriptions to the pharmacy at 7735 Farmington Boulevard at 6:11 p.m.
A swimming pool was damaged in the 2100 block of Canterbury Cove at 6:59 p.m.
A suspect took merchandise from a business at 2005 Exeter Road at 8:07 p.m.

EARLY VOTING HOURS CHANGE FOR 95th SPECIAL ELECTION PRIMARY

April 17, 2017 (Memphis, Tenn.) Today the times that Early Voting locations in the Special Election Primary are open for the House District 95 th House of Representatives seat will change. The two locations, one in Germantown at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and the other in Collierville at the Collierville Church of Christ, will be open from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tennessee law requires early voting to take place for a minimum of three hours with some evening hours. In the first week of early voting the polls were open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. “We wanted a variety of hours so that people could vote regardless of their work schedule.” said Linda Phillips, administrator of elections for the Shelby County Election Commission (SCEC). This election affects a relatively small group of voters, (51,412 of whom 46,597 are active), so SCEC officials decided to open the two early voting precincts in the 95 th district for fewer hours than would be used in a county-wide election.   ...

Past presidents of Suburban Garden Club prepare Club for upcoming flower show

“Horse and Garden” The Flora and Fauna of Germantown, Tennessee The Suburban Garden Club held its March meeting at the Memphis Botanic Garden to accommodate the large number of designs and arrangements that were used as correct examples for the club’s flower show on Wednesday, April 26, 2017.   The show will be held at the Germantown Country Club from one to four in the afternoon.   It is free and open to the public.   Barbara Armstrong, Nancy Klepper and Lucy Wilkinson created and provided the designs for the flower show demonstrations entitled “Alignment, Cadence, and Conformation.” Suburban members appreciated the clever terminology for the class as being perfect for an equestrian-themed flower show. They instructed the members on the major Divisions of Design beginning with floor arrangements that must be at least five feet tall to hanging miniature designs that cannot be more than five inches high.   All designs must represent a designated equest...
